Tourism Is Eco-Friendly at Mana Island Resort

Mamanuca Environment Society (MES) is an organization of resorts and tour operators dedicated to reducing environmental impact by the adoption of “best practice” techniques.
Mana Island Resort and Spa is a proud member of MES, and participates via: the Coral Regeneration Project, a Turtle Breeding Program, and removal of harmful “Crown of Thorns” starfish from the reefs. (An individual “Crown of Thorns” can consume up to 65 sq ft of living coral reef per year.)

“We stayed at Mana Island in October for 6 nights with a mixture of adults and children from 9 years to 15 years old. And it was a wonderful place to have a relaxing family holiday with lots of options. We stayed in an Oceanfront Suite on the South Beach which was a fantastic space – 2 bathrooms, mezzanine floor with queen bed and beautiful views from the deck, 2 single beds downstairs with a lounge area and a covered terrace from which it was only a few metres to the beach.”
