December is Summer in Fiji
Fiji is in the southern hemisphere. That means summer is in November, December, and January, and Western Fiji tends to have highs in the upper 80’s (°F) throughout those months.
Western Fiji is also dryer then Eastern Fiji (as winter is the rainy season), so if you are planning on going to Fiji for Christmas, the Mamanuca and Yasawa islands (off the Western coast of Viti Levu) will be the best place to head to. There still may be the occasional shower, but they are short, and the weather stays warm.
